Officer Matt Silvestrini died peacefully while surrounded by family at his home on the evening of Saturday, Dec. 3, the Middletown Police Department in Middlesex County announced. Police Involved In Standoff At CT Motel A suspected bank robber was nabbed following an hours-long standoff with police at a Connecticut hotel. Hartford County resident David Latino, age 49, of Southington, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 14, after barricading himself in the carrier Motor Lodge, in Newington, authorities said.
