One Charged With DWI, 16 Tickets Issued During Route 35 Safety Checkpoint
New York State Police troopers teamed with local police in Lewisboro and Ridgefield, dishing out more than a dozen tickets and making one DWI arrest during an “occupant safety checkpoint” detail near the Connecticut State line. A total of 16 tickets - including one arrest for an alleged driver who was intoxicated - were doled out during the detail, which was conducted on Route 35 in Lewisboro and Ridgefield, five of which were seatbelt or passenger restraint-related violations.
