Missing Man's Body Found In Fairfield County Park, Police Say Police in Fairfield County said the body of a man found at an area park is that of a missing resident. The 55-year-old Stamford man's body was found around 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14, after his vehicle was discovered at Cove Island Park, said Captain Diedrich Hohn, of the Stamford Police. According to Hohn, after finding the vehicle, a search of the park was conducted using the department's K-9 unit. Detail At Park In Fairfield County Finds Illegal Activity After receiving numerous complaints from residents of drug dealing, alcohol use and other problems at Lione Park, the Stamford Police conducted a "Quality of Life," enforcement detail at the park. Stamford Police Promote Pair Two longtime Stamford police officers were promoted by Chief Jon Fontneau during a ceremony on Wednesday, according to the Stamford Police Department. Lt. Diedrich Hohn, who has been a police officer for 22 years, was promoted to captain and will take over patrol units in the downtown area of town, said Capt. Richard Conklin. Hohn, who ran the Youth Bureau and Bureau of Criminal Investigations, also worked with the Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad, is the department’s eighth captain. Also promoted was Sgt.
