Machete Attack At Baseball Field: Wanted Bridgeport Man Apprehended A Fairfield County man wanted in a brutal machete attack at a popular baseball field has been captured by authorities. Jilmer Valverde, age 20, of Bridgeport, was apprehended early Monday, June 26, by members of the US Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Bridgeport Violent Crime Task Force, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Man Attacked With Machete In Bridgeport Man Attacked With Machete In Bridgeport
Man Attacked With Machete In Bridgeport A 26-year-old Fairfield County man is reported to be in stable condition with severe lacerations to his head and face after being attacked with a machete. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 8 p.m., Sunday, May 28 at Seaside Park, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police. When officers arrived on the scenem they found the Bridgeport resident suffering from a serious physical injury to the face. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was admitted.   The incident occurred along Waldemere Avenue at the “Diamond 10” baseball field in Seaside Park, Gilleran said.…
