Danbury Cracks Down On Businesses Selling Alcohol To Minors In an effort to cut down on underage drinking and determine compliance with state law a Fairfield County police force conducted a check of 47 businesses that sell alcohol. On Friday, Aug. 25, Danbury Police officers along with the Connecticut Department of Liquor Control conducted unannounced inspections of the businesses located within the city.  Of the 47 businesses checked, eight sold alcohol to an underage minor, Det. 6 Danbury Businesses Nailed For Violation Of Liquor Laws Six Danbury businesses have been found to allegedly violated one or more state liquor laws during an inspection. The inspection conducted by the state Department of Liquor Control along with members of the Danbury Police took place on Friday, March 24, said Det. Lt. David Pardovich of the Danbury Police.
