Two Students Injured During Fairfield County School Bus Crash, Police Say Two schoolchildren were hospitalized following a school bus crash which also injured the driver in Fairfield County. It happened just after 3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9 in the Town of Fairfield on Mountain Laurel road near Stroll Rock Common,  First responders reported the school bus struck a tree and the bus was transporting four Fairfield School children at the time of the collision, said Fairfield PD Lt. Woman Charged With DUI After Crashing Into Parked Fairfield PD Cruiser, Police Say An inebriated woman distracted by her cellphone allegedly plowed into the back of a police cruiser that had pulled another driver over on Post Road. Police Charge Easton Man In Hit-Run Crash That Killed Woman, 32, In Fairfield Police have charged a local man in connection to a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a woman in Fairfield County over the July 4th weekend. Marileidy Morel Araujo, 32, of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, was killed in the crash that happened around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4 in the Town of Fairfield in the area of 2000 Redding Road. Araujo was visiting family in Fairfield and was walking her dog at the time of the crash, police said.
