Moving Company Employee Stole Watch From Darien Home, Police Say
A moving company employee from Bridgeport is charged with stealing a watch from a woman's Darien home and then pawning it, police said.
The original incident happened on Monday, July 25, 2022, when a group of movers was helping a designer lift furniture at the victim's home in Darien. The watch was then reported stolen on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, by the victim, according to Darien Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros.
During the investigation into the theft, police determined that one of the movers was 38-year-old Jamar Blackburn of Bridgeport.

CT Resident Indicted For Alleged Child Exploitation Offenses
A Connecticut man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for receiving child pornography and the distribution of child pornography.
New Haven County resident Kevin Curley, age 40, of Naugatuck, appeared on Tuesday, Dec. 21, in court and pleaded not guilty to the charges, said Leonard C Boyle, Acting US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
In 2020, officials began investigating Curley for his involvement in an online community of individuals who sent and received child pornography images and videos via a hidden service website, court documents show.

Woman Accused Of Throwing Dog Out Of Car Window In Fairfield County, Police Say
A woman has been arrested for allegedly throwing her dog out a car window as the vehicle was moving in Fairfield County.
Helen Skulski, age 56, of Wilton, turned herself in to Norwalk Police on Friday, March 26 after a warrant was issued for her arrest, said Norwalk Police Sgt Sofia Gulino.
According to Gulino, on Tuesday, March 9, at approximately 2:07 p.m., Norwalk Police received a phone call from a motorist who said she saw a dog being tossed out of a moving vehicle.

Supervisor At Fairfield Post Office Admits To Stealing Cash From Mail
A 37-year-old area woman pleaded guilty to stealing cash and other items from mail while employed as a postal supervisor at the Town of Fairfield Post Office.
Jessica Giles, 37, of West Haven, waived her right to be indicted and pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Nov. 3, to the theft of mail by a postal employee, said John H. Durham, U.S.Attorney for the District of Connecticut, and Matthew Modafferi, Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Postal Service.
