Woman Admits To Embezzling $415,000 From Health Care Center In Fairfield County A Connecticut woman has admitted to embezzling more than $400,000 from her employers in Fairfield County through a series of fraud and tax offenses. Melissa Meole, 35, of North Branford, pleaded guilty to wire fraud and filing false tax returns for multiple schemes that spanned several years. Meole, who was employed at the Bridgeport Health Care Center Inc., was responsible for processing payroll and for handling the finances of the Bridgeport Manor resident trust account. CT Woman Charged With Embezzlement, Fraud, ID Theft A 34-year-old woman was arrested on multiple counts of alleged embezzlement and fraud targeting seniors living in Bridgeport nursing and rehabilitation centers. Melissa Meole, of North Branford, was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 17, on a federal criminal complaint charging her with embezzlement, fraud, and identity theft, said John H. Durham, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
