TGI Fridays Closing CT Locale, 30 Total Eateries Across Northeast TGI Fridays is closing nearly 30 "underperforming" locations across the northeast and will sell eight restaurants to the chain's former CEO, the chain said in a news release. The 27 closures include restaurants in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Man Charged In Connection To Double-Fatal, Head-On I-95 Crash In December A Connecticut man has been taken into police custody in connection to a fatal head-on crash on I-95 in December last year, state police announced. Connecticut State Police said that Groton resident Jose Vicente Noriega-Gonzalez, 38, was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 27, on a warrant for his role in the crash in Stonington on Dec. 16 last year that left two dead. Noriega-Gonzalez has been charged with two counts of manslaughter with a motor vehicle, two counts of assault, reckless endangerment, driving the wrong way on a highway and illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence.…
