Bank will close up to 500 stores and lay off 20 percent of its corporate workforce, the California-based company has announced.  Massachusetts and Connecticut combined have more than two dozen such stores. Man Charged In Connection To Double-Fatal, Head-On I-95 Crash In December A Connecticut man has been taken into police custody in connection to a fatal head-on crash on I-95 in December last year, state police announced. Connecticut State Police said that Groton resident Jose Vicente Noriega-Gonzalez, 38, was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 27, on a warrant for his role in the crash in Stonington on Dec. 16 last year that left two dead. Noriega-Gonzalez has been charged with two counts of manslaughter with a motor vehicle, two counts of assault, reckless endangerment, driving the wrong way on a highway and illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence.…
