Missing Man's Body Found In Fairfield County Park, Police Say Police in Fairfield County said the body of a man found at an area park is that of a missing resident. The 55-year-old Stamford man's body was found around 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14, after his vehicle was discovered at Cove Island Park, said Captain Diedrich Hohn, of the Stamford Police. According to Hohn, after finding the vehicle, a search of the park was conducted using the department's K-9 unit. Body Found In Naugatuck River Police have pulled a body from the Naugatuck River in Connecticut. The discovery was made around 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, when a hiker reported what looked like a human body in the water, said the Naugatuck Police. Emergency personnel located the body in New Haven County in the area of Platts Mill Road and Radnor Avenue and confirmed the person was dead. Naugatuck detectives are working the scene with assistance from the state police Central District Major Crime investigators to find out who the person is. Police Investigating After Man's Body Found In Connecticut River Police launched an investigation after a man’s body was found by a boater in the Connecticut River in Western Mass. The discovery in Hampshire County happened around 6 p.m., Friday, May 21, in the river in Northampton, said Laurie Loisel, director of Communications for the Northwestern District Attorney's Office. It happened in the Gold Coast area along Long Island's North Shore on Sunday morning, May 17. At 8:20 a.m., police in Centre Island received a call about the boat floating in the water. Body Found On Saugatuck Shores In Fairfield County A local resident made a gruesome discovery, finding a body that had washed ashore. Police received notification of the body around 8:40 a.m. Friday when the Westport resident contacted police headquarters to report the body which had washed up on the shore of Harbor Road in Saugatuck Shores, said Westport Police Lt.
