Man, Teen Nabbed For Abduction, Assault Of Woman From CT Big Y Parking Lot
A Connecticut man and a teen have been arrested for the alleged kidnapping, carjacking, and brutal beating of a woman from a supermarket parking lot last year.
On Tuesday, March 1, state police arrested Kenneth Gordon, age 20, of Hartford, and a 16-year-old boy following a five-month investigation into the events which took place at the Big Y parking lot in Marlborough on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2021.
At the time of the crime, police said the 64-year-old woman was getting into her car with groceries when she was approached by two masked men who demanded money.

CT Man Arrested For Stealing $2,800 From Two Stores, Police Say
A Connecticut man was arrested for allegedly stealing some $2,800 in cash from two stores last year.
James Hill, age 43, of West Haven, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 30 by Milford Police on two active warrants which took place in January and February of 2020, Milford Police said.
Hill is accused of stealing over $1,300 from the Big Y at 105 Boston Post Road, in January 2020 and $1,500 from ShopRite, in February 2020, police said.
He was charged with two counts of larceny and was released on a promise to appear ticket.
Couple Accused Of Embezzling Money From Baseball Association In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County couple has been arrested for allegedly embezzling more than $25,000 from an area youth baseball association.
Kurt Dyer, 51, and Jennifer Dyer, 47, both of Bethel, were arrested on Thursday, April 16, on outstanding warrants for larceny following a complaint by the Bethel Baseball Association, a private children's baseball association, said Bethel Police Lt. George J. Bryce, Jr.
The arrests came after the organizations new treasurer found several questionable transactions during a financial review, Bryce said.

Workers Worry About Paying Bills As Stop & Shop Strike Hits Day Six
Customers were not seen entering the Stop & Shop store at 44 Lake Ave. Ext. in Danbury, where about 15 store employees held signs and stood in the sunlight out front to stay warm on a breezy 50-degree morning Tuesday, April 16, day six of the workers' strike in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
