Police Investigating 2 BB Gun Assaults At Yale University Yale University Police are warning students and residents to be on the lookout for a dark-colored vehicle that fired a BB gun twice at members of the college community.  The incidents occurred in New Haven around 12:15 and 12:25 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, in the area of Crown and High Streets and Broadway and Elm Street. Road Rage: Man Nabbed For Incident In Darien A 24-year-old man who allegedly pointed a BB gun at a tow truck driver on I-95 in Fairfield County and slowed down to 5 mph has been charged by state police. Dae Jesus Acosta, age 24, of Central Falls, Rhode Island, was arrested around 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 29, in Darien for a road rage incident. According to Connecticut State Police, a tow truck driver called 911 after Acosta, who was trying to merge onto I-95 in Darien, in front of the truck slowed down to 5 mph and then pointed what looked like a gun at the driver. CT Man Charged After Shooting Down Drone With BB Gun A Connecticut man has been charged with criminal mischief for allegedly shooting down a drone with a BB gun. The incident took place in New Haven County around 1:20 p.m., Friday, Dec. 9 in the area of John Street in Milford.  According to Milford Police, a man reported that he was legally flying his drone when it was shot with a BB gun and damaged. Following an investigation, it was determined that Lawrence Cyr, age 54, of Milford, shot the drone and caused significant damage, police said. Cyr was charged with criminal mischief and released on a promise to appear ticket.
