Nearly two weeks after being forced out of their Long Island home while police searched for evidence in the Gilgo Beach serial murders case, the family of suspect Rex Heuermann has been allowed back inside. Heuermann’s 59-year-old wife, Asa Ellerup, and their two adult children were seen returning to their Massapequa Park home in Nassau County on Thursday, July 27, where investigators spent 12 days looking for additional evidence in the case. Miss Connecticut Bridget Oei fell short by to Miss New York in Sunday night's Miss America competition The 22-year-old Irish step dancer from Hebron -- named among the eight contestants to watch by Cosmopolitan -- was first runner up in the 2019 contest. Miss New York Nia Franklin was crowned Miss America. Oei is ranked the fifth best Irish dancer in the world and graduated from UConn with a degree in environmental chemistry.
