Streaming Services Top Broadcast Channels For First Time
The ways people choose to access and enjoy their media keeps evolving, and after being the longtime frontrunner, new research has shown that standard cable TV packages have finally been beaten out by their more affordable and accessible online streaming services, according to Deadline. CT Man Who Hacked Into More Than 200 Apple iCloud Accounts Sentenced
A Connecticut man is heading to prison after flying too close to the iCloud. North Branford resident George Garofano, 26, has been sentenced to eight months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, after pleading guilty to a computer hacking offense related to a phishing scheme that gave him access to hundreds of Apple iCloud accounts, several of which belonged to celebrities. Police Caution of Phone Scam Involving Apple Gift Cards
Police are making the public aware involving a scammer posing as a member of the Department of Justice regarding a recent scam that is targeting local residents. The Eastchester Police Department issued an alert recently about a new phone scam making the rounds in the area, following reports from area residents who have been targeted. During the phone calls, police said that the victims were told that the caller was a representative from the Department of Justice, including a false name and badge number. There are two new email scams that have been reported and police are warning area residents to be aware of them. The emails claim to be from Apple or iCloud and both ask for specific, personal information. (Examples of each are shown above.) Stamford Reacts To Not Making Amazon's List Of Finalists For New HQ
STAMFORD, Conn. – Even though Stamford did not make it to the short list of possible locations for Amazon's second headquarters, city officials still see a silver lining and think that Stamford will make an appealing location for another major company.
