Police Increase Patrols Following Four Residential Burglaries In Fairfield County Town Police in a Fairfield County town are warning residents to make sure their homes are secure after four residential burglaries in four weeks. New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski said the burglaries began on the first day of October and ran through Friday, Oct. 29. The burglaries include: Friday, Oct. 1, around 9 p.m., the department investigated a residential burglary of an unoccupied home on Butler Lane. This home did not have an alarm system.
