Former Fairfield County Football Standout Dies During Accidental Shooting A former Fairfield County teen who was a well-known staple on the football fields has been killed in an accidental shooting in Georgia. Zyon McDuffie, age 14, was killed on Sunday, Aug. 1, in the home his family had just moved to so his mother could take a new job at a hospital in Union City, Georgia. The incident took place around 1:15 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 21, when Bridgeport Police responded 324 Lyon Terrace for a report of a person shot, said Bridgeport Police Captain Kevin Gilleran. Fairfield County Man, 23, Shoots Himself While Cleaning Gun, Police Say A 23-year-old Harbor Point man accidentally shot himself in the hand while cleaning his semi-automatic handgun, according to Stamford Police. Stamford Police Sgt. Brian Butler said officers responded to a call at Harbor Point at 8:30 p.m. Friday on a call that the man had shot himself.
