RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – A public hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 19 to look at which of Ridgefield’s elementary schools will close.
The decision to close a school was voted on by the Board of Education last May, and the Facilities Reconfiguration Committee was created to discuss which schools could be considered for closure.
A presentation will be made by the committee regarding its findings prior to the meeting being opened to public comment.
Residents who attend the meeting are asked to keep their comments to which school could be closed and not whether or not a school should be closed, a notice from the committee said. Comments will be limited to two minutes per speaker.
The hearing will start at 7:30 p.m. at East Ridge Middle School. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
