Child-Raising Workshops Planned At Ridgefield High School Sunday

"Raising the Spirited Child ~ Raising the Sensitive Child" is set for noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, at Ridgefield High School, according to a news release. The workshops are presented by Project Resilience with speakers Dr. Mary Kurcinka & Dr. Tamar Chansky and sponsored by Fairfield County Bank, Ridgefield Public Schools, Ridgefield Joint Council PTA, Silver Hill Hospital, Doctors' Pediatric-Ridgefield, Tutoring Club and Western CT Health Network, according to the release. 

The day's events include two workshops, a question and answer session with pediatricians and child psychiatrists, according to the release. Attendees are set to learn how to "manage your child's anxiety, intense feelings, anger and impulses; understand your child's temperament; cope effectively with bedtimes, mealtimes and daily routines; and help your child cope with disappointment, stress, and new situations," according to the release. 

Tickets are for the workshops are free but reservations are required by emailing resilientridge@gmail.com.
