The affiliation with Berkshire Hathaway became official recently. The brokerage, one of America’s largest according to REAL Trends, is the second to go live under the new brand. The Realtors formerly worked under the Prudential Connecticut Realty banner.
Margaret Nagy, who resides in Danbury and is in the Ridgefield office, is enthusiastic about her new brand.
“I'm very excited about being a part of this historical move from Prudential Connecticut to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties,’’ she said. “Berkshire Hathaway is a well-known and trusted brand nationwide, and the new brand will bring unparalleled marketing tools for their real estate agents. Our new website is very clean and easy to navigate, with up to date information not just on the national but the local market level”.
Nagy is also the State of Connecticut President-elect for the Women’s Council of Realtors.
“It is absolutely wonderful to be a Berkshire Hathaway company,’’ said Melanie Smith, who is based in Southport. “The brand is one of authenticity, integrity, honesty, trust, confidence and dedication to core values and financial strength.”
Smith has been a top producer in Connecticut since 1980, and in the past 10 years she has ranked in the top 10 in the state and the top 100 in North America of all Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices (previously Prudential) salespersons. She is a member of Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate, FIABCI, The Registry and other select associations.
Smith and Nagy were among more than 1,500 agents at the Toyota Oakdale Theater in Wallingford when the new brand was launched. The meeting included Candace Adams, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties; Ron Peltier, chairman and CEO of HomeServices of America, which owns New England Properties; and HSF Affiliates LLC CEO Earl Lee.
