Ridgefield Voters Approve All 9 Items On Ballot, Including Budgets

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield voters on approved all nine items on the ballot in Tuesday's referendum, including the town and school budgets.

The nine items approved are, with the vote tally: 

  • $46.1 million for the town's proposed budget, 1,427 yes vs. 217 no
  • $86.1 million for the proposed school budget, 1,311 yes vs. 334 no  
  • $2.75 million for road repairs, 1,536 yes vs. 108 no 
  • $3.7 million to upgrade the public safety radio system, 1,265 yes vs. 373 no 
  • $1.4 million for Farmingville walk/bike path, 1,180 yes vs. 460 no 
  • $176,500 for a Mack truck, 1,240 yes vs. 377 no 
  • $230,000 for a fire department ambulance, 1,428 yes vs. 204 no 
  • $415,000 for Annex Building roof replacement, Venus Building elevator repair and Lake Mamanasco improvements, 1,265 yes vs. 358 no 
  • $496,976 for school energy conservation measures and technology infrastructure replacement, 1,310 yes vs. 323 no
