Ridgefield To Hold Public Hearing On School Security; Selectmen To Meet

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Town of Ridgefield will hold two special meetings on Wednesday, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Large Conference Room.

A special town meeting will be held to discuss additional funding for school security on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

The purpose of the public hearing and special town meeting will be to receive comment and act on the Board of Education request for an additional appropriation of $731,200 for enhanced school security.

Related documents for the requested additional appropriation, which will be financed through bonding, are available for public inspection in the Office of the First Selectman and the Town Clerk.

The Board of Selectmen meeting will take place immediately following the special town meeting. This meeting will be conducted with comment invited only on agenda items.

Individuals will be recognized for three minutes after Board of Selectmen discussion but before selectmen vote. All items on agenda are presented as possible action items (vote) by the selectmen.
