Polling stations around Ridgefield are back online.

“Polling places will remain as is,” said First Selectman Rudy Marconi. “Our effort is to restore power. We think there isn’t going to be an issue.”

As of Thursday, Scotts Ridge Middle School had power and Yanity Gym also has power.  The remaining station, at East Ridge Middle School, is a part of a trunk line and Marconi said he anticipated the school being up in time for Election Day.

Ridgefield has four voting districts:

District One:  East Ridge Middle School

District Two and Four: Scotts Ridge Middle School

District Three: Yanity Gym

If the polling stations need to be changed, Marconi said that state statute allows the town to do so by consolidating or moving them and the town will be alerted to that as soon as possible.
