Meet The Candidates At The Ridgefield League Of Women Voters Forum

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Ridgefield League of Women Voters will sponsor a special town forum with candidates for for the Boards of Finance and Education, and the Planning and Zoning Commission in the Veterans Park School Auditorium from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Board of Education candidates Irene Burgess, Scott Mason, John Palermo Jr., Amy Shinohara and Michael Taylor will discuss how the changing school population potentially impacts redistricting and building obsolescence, and specific investments earmarked for school security.

Planning and Zoning Commission candidates Michael Autuori, Stephen Cole, James Coyle, Tim Dunphy, Joe Fossi, George Hanlon and Rebecca Mucchetti will address What initiatives, if any, will they recommend to ensure that the Main Street area of Ridgefield remains viable.

Board of Finance contenders Jeff Bonistalli Sr. and Jill Bornstein will debate the town’s finance and debt issues.

Veterans Park School is at 8 Governor St. in Ridgefield.
