Officers Hagop Cigercioglu, Joseph Schnackenberg and Daniel Berger noticed cars regularly stopping at the Chestnut Street house in September, Capt. Richard Besser told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

They then spotted 26-year-old resident Robert Hutcherson III making hand-to-hand transactions, he said.

Detective Joseph Malanga, working with Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force, staged undercover buys that produced 22 pills sold for $600 on various dates in September and October.

On Monday, borough detectives and task force members arrested Hutcherson, who Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said this afternoon is single and unemployed.

They also seized drug paraphernalia and packaging and $990 in alleged proceeds, Besser said.

Hutcherson was being held on $10,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with two counts of drug distribution and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned yesterday.
