The couple -- Val and Taew Horsa of South Salem -- died Nov. 19 when the plane piloted by Val crashed into the Titicus Reservoir in North Salem. Val was 76. Taew was 66.

They founded and ran the Bangkok Thai restaurant in Danbury. They started it in 1986, when Thai food was rare in Connecticut. Taew was the head chef.

They are survived by their son, Eric, and his wife Portia, who live in Ridgefield with their children, Erica and Kyle.
