Marie Vincenzina LaSelva, 85, Of Ridgefield, Machinist

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - Marie Vincenzina “Chin” LaSelva of Ridgefield died Sept. 28. She was 85.

LaSelva was born June 18, 1928, in New York City, N.Y., daughter of Rosario V LaSelva, Sr and Maria (LoRusso) LaSelva of Bethel, formerly, Pelham, N.Y. She worked as a machinist, developing parts for the Hubbell Spacecraft, mammography machines and other vital medical equipment.

LaSelva is survived by her brother, Rosario LaSelva, Jr. of Bethel; and sister, Angela Scarano of Pelham, N.Y.; many nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Anna Gaita of Norwalk and Lucy LaSelva of Pelham, N.Y.; brothers, Vincent, Carmen, Vito, Leo and Kelly LaSelva; and lifetime companion, Florence “Pat” Van Loan.

There will be no calling hours or burial services. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at St. Marys’ Church in Ridgefield.
