RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – James L. Costanzi of Ridgefield died Jan. 13 at River Glen Health Care in Southbury. He was 85.
He was born May 2, 1927, in Ridgefield to Varisto P. and Amalia Sorcinelli Costanzi. He attended Ridgefield schools and graduated from Ridgefield High School.
Costanzi was a retired insurance agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of the Ridgewood Country Club of Danbury, Italian American Mutual Aid Society and St. Mary Parish in Ridgefield.
There are no immediate survivors.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Church in Ridgefield. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Ridgefield. There are no calling hours. Kane Funeral Home in Ridgefield is handling arrangements.
