RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - Elizabeth Margaret Neumann of Ridgefield died Tuesday, Dec. 10. She was 45.
Neumann was born Aug. 22, 1968, to John and Margaret (Enright) McElligott. She was born in Lissaniska, Kilmorna, Listowel County Kerry, Ireland and moved to the United States at the age of 17. She spent most of her life as a caregiver in the area.
Neumann is survived by her husband, Bob Neumann of Ridgefield; brothers, John, Michael and Thomas McElligott; sisters, Mary Kennedy (James), Margaret Whyte (Eamonn); sister, Siobhan McElligott; father and mother-in-law, Harry and Lorraine Neumann; brothers in law, Chip (Pam) Neumann, Russ (Holly) Neumann, Jeff (Mary) Neumann; sisters in law, Janet Neumann, Shaylene Neumann Kelley (Joe); and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 10:15 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield. Interment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
