RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - Clemence Yammine of Ridgefield, formerly of Danbury, died Friday, Feb. 28. She was 82.
Yammine was born Feb. 15, 1932, in Lebanon, the daughter of Yacoub and Barbara (Labaky) Tatarian. She attended schools in Lebanon. She was an area resident since 1982 after coming from Lebanon. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Parish of Danbury.
Yammine is survived by her sons, Joseph Yammine, Abdallah Yammine, George Yammine and Edmond Yammine; daughters, Jeanne Madkour and Elham Naim; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Dib Yammine; son, Charles Yammine; and daughter, Nowal D. Yammine.
Calling hours are Tuesday, March 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 17 Granville Ave., Danbury. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 5, at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, with the Rev. Raymond Kallouf officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
