No decision has been made on whether to charge his father, Kyle Seitz, who forgot the boy in the car while he worked on a day with temperatures that soared past 90 degrees, the News-Times noted. The boy's autopsy will not be released until Aug. 29, the News-Times said.
But other Connecticut parents who have left children in hot cars this summer have been quickly charged, the News-Times said.
Since the boy's death, his mother, Lindsey Rogers-Seitz, started the website called "The Gift of Ben" in memory of her son. She and her husband have advocated to raise awareness in the hope of preventing similar tragedies.
