Ridgefield Residents, Dump Your Storm Debris For Free

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — It wasn't a hurricane, but the thunderstorm Tuesday was powerful enough to bring down trees and branches across the town of Ridgefield as well as knock out power to half the town.

Need to get rid of branches and other debris from the storm? Transfer Station is free to Ridgefield residents on Saturday.

If you're in cleanup mode — don't despair. Residents can drop off brush for free at the Transfer Station this Saturday, June 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Contractors must pay the regular fee.

Do not drag debris to the side of the road. Neither the state nor the town will remove brush or debris from the side of the road, Ridgefield said in a post on the town Facebook page.
