RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — After an investigation, the Ridgefield Police Department has identified two suspects who are responsible for the damage done at the East Ridge Middle School ball field last month and has applied for arrest warrants.
The vandalism to the grass on the north field at East Ridge was reported to police July 11 at 9:30 a.m.
Police determined that a vehicle was driven onto the football field, causing considerable damage.
It was not known whether the vandalism was related to damage found reported Sunday morning at the ball field at Shadow Lake in Ridgefield. That ball field was also torn up with criss-crossing tire tracks across the turf.
Anyone with information regarding either incident is encouraged to call the Ridgefield Police Department at 203-438-6531 or the Anonymous Tip Line at 203-431-2345.
