RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - (Updated 3:30 p.m.) Driving down Ridgefield's Main Street is a little more difficult today due to a detour.
The town has blocked off a section of the road from Gilbert Street to Pound Street because of a tree that fell in last night's strong winds.
A detour, down New Street, has been set up for drivers trying to get from one end of town to the other.
The Ridgefield Police Department says that the blocked area on Main Street is the only fully blocked road in town. Here are some partially blocked roads:
- Blackman Road
- Barrack Hill Road
- Blue Ridge Road
- Bennetts Farm Road
