RIDGEIELD, Conn. – The majority of Ridgefield homes should see power restoration by Tuesday evening around 11 p.m., according to a Sunday evening estimate.
First Selectman Rudy Marconi said Sunday afternoon that the hope is that, with more than 60 line crews currently in town, the number of outages in Ridgefield will have gone down by half from the Sunday morning numbers.
“It’ll take through Tuesday to get everyone back, but it will probably be in Wednesday when we still have those onesies and twosies,” Marconi said.
By Monday is when, Marconi said, the power crews are saying that the town will be substantially up and running with the trunk lines and “finger lines” restored to power. Although, according to Marconi, between Ridgefield, Redding, Wilton and Easton, nearly 600 electric poles need to be replaced due to damage from Hurricane Sandy.
