Residents reacted to Connecticut Light & Power's announcement Thursday that almost everyone will have their power restored by Monday or Tuesday

"That's ridiculous. That is no better, even worse, than last time. I thought they were better prepared this time," Facebook user Bob Jewell wrote.

Reader Les Hughs is worried about cold weather forecast for the coming nights.

"Any comment I would make would not be appropriate here!," Hughs wrote. "It's cold and getting colder, and I see no evidence of any attempt to restore power in our area."

Other readers had questions for town officials and the power company.

"I'd like know why our town was the only non- shore front town that lost 100% power and why today we have less than 25% restored, perhaps the lowest rate in the state," Facebook user David O'Shea wrote.

"I'd like to know why the whole northern part of town, north of the high school, including Ridgebury has been totally ignored. We haven't see one utility truck at all in the area the past three days!," Facebook user Frank Ballatore wrote.
