Ridgefield Fire Chief Kevin Tappe said the spill's source must be the business at 58 Ethan Alley Highway or a pipe behind it, The Ridgefield Press reported.

Firefighters at the scene put absorbent pads into the storm drain by the railroad tracks at the location and booms and pads in the culvert to prevent any more oil from draining into the river, The Ridgefield Press said.
