RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – With 64 percent of Ridgefield still without power, it might not be surprising to learn many businesses or buildings are closed. Here is what’s open and closed in Ridgefield for Thursday (Updated at 3 p.m.):
Closed:
- All Ridgefield public schools are closed through the end of this week, at least.
- Most Main Street shops are closed due to power outages.
- Keeler Tavern Museum is closed due to continued power outage and will not open until further notice.
Open:
- Ridgefield Library is open, though events have been postponed.
- Ancona’s Market will be open until 7 p.m.
- Ridgefield Parks and Recreation Center will be open as a shelter and charging station. It is also fully operational as a recreation center and the pool opened Thursday.
- Ridgefield Town Recycling Center will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Ridgefield Town Hall will be open, with Wi-Fi available in the lower conference rooms.
- Piccolo Pizza is open.
- Yanity Gym is open but only as a shelter.
- Founders Hall is open for adults wishing to use Wi-Fi and charging stations.
- Stop & Shop on Route 35 is open.
- Dimitri’s Diner is open.
- Copps Hill stores are open.
- Starbucks on Route 35 is open.
- Rite Aide on Route 35 is open, and advertising it will have batteries and water available.
- Ridgefield Hardware on Main Street is open.
- Animal Fair Pet Shop on Route 35 is open.
- Books on the Common is open.
- Tom Tom's restaurant on Main Street is open.
- Planet Pizza on Main Street is open.
