Ridgefield Parks And Rec Hosting Parenting Seminars

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Ridgefield Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a series of seminars focused on parenting and raising well-rounded children on Wednesdays through Oct. 23.

Classes run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All four classes cost $85 for members and non-members. Single classes cost $25 a piece.

Wendy McLean and Ellie Kirk of Conscious Parenting Seminars provide a new approach to parenting that is holistic and organic. Parents who attend will get practical tools, based on the research from Positive Psychology and HeartMath, to create a less stressful and more playful family life that allows everyone to truly flourish.

The list of dates and topics for the remaining seminars are as follows:

  • Oct. 9, "The power of stories in building confidence"
  • Oct. 16, "Bucket filling for resilience"
  • Oct. 23, "Developing unconditional self-esteem"
