Debbie Shapiro Shapiro, who has owned a home in Ridgefield, turns 59 on Sunday. Shapiro, born September 29, 1954, in Los Angeles, CA, is an actress and singer.
She has had a varied career taking her from the Broadway Stage to the Symphony Hall & made her Broadway debut in the chorus of They're Playing Our Song in 1979.
She has won the Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Musical Blues in the Night, Zorba, Les Misérables, Chicago, and Jerome Robbins' Broadway & was nominated for the Drama Desk Award for Jerome Robbins' Broadway and the Frank Loesser revue Perfectly Frank.
She recently appeared in the Broadway musical Loving the Silent Tears, which premiered in 2012.
