The aim of the party is to give people an idea of how the Fund's Volunteer Host Family Program works. A total of 22 kids are currently visiting the area from New York City as part of the program.
Host families will discuss their experiences and be available for questions from the crowd.
The program covers 13 states, and accommodates almost 4,000 children from the ages of 6 to 18 every summer. Active since 1877, the Fund helps inner-city children experience the outdoors and star-filled skies for the first time.
The Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield is located at 41 Governor St. in Ridgefield.
