The Ridgefield Playhouse's big event is set to start at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14. The fundraiser will include a dessert reception before a concert from Cheap Trick at 8 p.m.
"A glass of champagne comes with every raffle ticket purchased for a chance to win an exquisite piece of jewelry and a $1,000 gift card offered by Addessi Jewelers, or a Year of Beauty courtesy of Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, or a BMW for a weekend with driver and dinner courtesy of BMW of Ridgefield," a press release said. "The power-rock group Cheap Trick takes the stage after the 8 p.m. live auction with their timeless classics 'I Want You to Want Me,' 'Surrender,' 'The Flame' and 'Dream Police.'"
The event is underwritten by Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, Addessi Jewelers and BMW of Ridgefield with additional support from AcousticMusic.org, The Cutting Board Catering, Deborah Ann's Sweet Shoppe, Main Street Florist & Gifts, Tom Tom's Restaurant & Bakery and Whistle Stop Bakery.
"Cheap Trick is a musical institution," a press release said. "Their most current release, 'The Latest,' has garnered glowing reviews worldwide and continues Cheap Trick’s reign as power-pop progenitors as they continue their legacy of more than 35 years in the music industry."
Tickets are $130 and are available by calling the box office at 203-438-5795 or visiting The Ridgefield Playhouse website.
