There will be a pair of performances at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

In this not-so-traditional musical version, the Wolf isn’t bad, he is just big and clumsy. He wants to be friends with Rose, Frank and Ham, better known as the Three Little Pigs, but every time they get together, somebody gets hurt.

In an effort to encourage kids to read more, all of the shows that are part of this season’s Pepsi Children’s Series at The Ridgefield Playhouse are based on beloved books.

Kids can read the book, available at Books on the Common, Main St., Ridgefield and the Ridgefield Library, see the show then have the book signed by the actors.

To round out the day, Piccolo Pizza & Pasta Jazzeria will serve a free scoop of gelato the day of the show when tickets/stubs are presented.

This event is underwritten by Wooster School of Danbury and is supported by Books on the Common, Macaroni Kid and Ridgefield Library with media sponsor 98Q. As part of the Playhouse’s ongoing outreach program where free tickets are offered to other non-profits, The Union Savings Bank “Arts for Everyone” recipient for this show is Amos House.

Tickets are $15 each. Call the box office at 203-438-5795 or order at the Ridgefield Playhouse website.
