La Piazza Brings Family Italian To Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – There’s a new piazza in town, Ridgefield. La Piazza, an Italian restaurant, has opened its doors at 37 Ethan Allen Highway.

Owners Helen and Demetri Zervos, are no strangers to the restaurant scene. Their comfortable Tavern on Main has been a staple on the downtown Westport dining scene for years.

Now, the duo is bringing their signature homespun hospitality to Ridgefield, and drawing on their Mediterranean heritage to create a menu and space that is both warm and authentic. Joining the couple in this endeavor are their sons Anthony, John and Leonardo, making La Piazza a true family affair.

Chef Bob DelBuono, a graduate of Connecticut’s Lincoln Culinary Institute’s Center for Culinary Arts, will head the kitchen. Chef DelBuono prides himself on  doing things the old-fashioned way, which is to say he likes to make his own food. From stocks to sauces to pastas and desserts, what comes out of Chef DelBuono’s kitchen was made in Chef DelBuono’s kitchen.

Look for daily seafood specials as well as a host of regular menu items at La Piazza, available seven days a week.
