RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Texas guitar slinger Billy Gibbons, best known as the guitarist and lead singer of the Texas blues-rock band ZZ Top, is coming to The Ridgefield Playhouse.
His new album and solo tour, Perfectamundo, brings a cool, new Cuban-infused sound – but the beard, the voice and the guitar licks are still the same Gibbons.
Fans can see Gibbons and his famous 1959 Gibson Les Paul guitar known as Pearly Gates, at 8 p.m. Friday as part of the Pepsi Rock Series powered by Xfinity.
His hits with ZZ Top include “La Grange,” “Sharp Dressed Man” and “Cheap Sunglasses."
Beyond his work with ZZ Top, he’s recorded with artists B.B. King, Les Paul, Queens of the Stone Age, Nickelback, Kid Rock, Johnny Winter, John Mayall and others.

The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main St.
