Monday, Jan. 28 Board of Education Budget Presentations: 7:30 p.m. The Ridgefield Board of Education will hear the presentations from several departments, including staff, technology and transportation. There will be public comment at the start of the meeting and all residents are welcome to attend. Town Hall Annex, 66 Prospect St. Ridgefield.

Tuesday, Jan. 29 Happy Birthday Amelia Bedelia: 4-5 p.m. For the past 50 years, Amelia Bedelia has made us laugh with her cheerful personality and playful spirit; now we celebrate with humorous stories, games and a craft made in her honor. Danbury Library, 170 Main St., Danbury.

Wednesday, Jan. 30 World Premiere of ‘I, Nixon’: 7:30-9:30 p.m. This is the first performance of Stanely Kutler’s play ‘I, Nixon’ at the Ridgefield Theater Barn. The play follows the life of President Richard Nixon from the start of his career to the end of his life. Tickets are free, though spaces are limited. Thursday, Jan. 31 The Laramie Project: 7:30 p.m. Ridgefield High School students are putting on a performance of the renowned play ‘The Laramie Project’ which chronicles a group of documentarians who interview people from the town of Laramie after the brutal beating and death of Matthew Shepard, an openly gay student at the University of Wyoming in 1998. For mature audiences only. Ridgefield High School Black Box Theater, 700 N. Salem Road, Ridgefield.
