The show, formerly on Broadway, also shines a spotlight on the great African-American blues artists who influenced Joplin's musical style and career, including Bessie Smith, Etta James and Aretha Franklin.
"A Night with Janis Joplin" features Mary Bridget Davies in the starring role. She toured with Big Brother & The Holding Company (Joplin's original band), was nominated for a Tony nomination when the show debuted on Broadway in 2013.
The show was created, written, and directed by Randy Johnson and is a full-on concert experience and musical journey into the life of one of rock 'n roll's greatest legends.
Joplin hits and classic songs such as “Piece of My Heart,” “Mercedes Benz,” “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Ball and Chain” and “Summertime” will be covered.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $90.
