AAA Northeast at the Playhouse: Live in HD, along with Fathom Events, Turner Classic Movies and Twentieth Century Fox present this classic Western from 1969. It's been restored in high definition and has additional, never-before-seen content. Fans will also get unique insight on this infamous pair of bandits with specially produced commentary from Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz.
Paul Newman, who lived in Westport, and Robert Redford set the standard in this western classic buddy film, which won four Academy Awards. Newman played Butch, a gifted get-rich-quick schemer, and Redford plays Sundance, his mighty-quick-draw partner.
This showing will benefit the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, which was founded by Newman as a place for kids with illnesses to experience the spirit and friendship that goes hand in hand with attending a summer camp. For more information about the camp, click here.
