Frankenreiter plays folk-infused original songs that are bright and breezy, a news release from the theater said. “Donovan Frankenreiter will create an idyllic musical event at The Ridgefield Playhouse where the audience can chill out on a summer’s eve.” A longtime friend of Jack Johnson, he learned to surf and play guitar in southern California.
The performance is underwritten by a newly relocated shop The Ridgefield Bicycle Company, which is hosting a “Thirsty Thursday” bike ride that kicks off at 6 p.m. the night of the show, from the Playhouse parking lot and ends in time for the start of the concert. Each rider will get one free ticket to the show.
Special guests include SOSOS, an acoustic band out of Florida, and The Breedings, a sibling county music due. Ticketholders will also be invited to enjoy a free glass of house wine or draft beer with dinner the night of the show at The Little Pub, at Ethan Allen Highway in Ridgefield, when tickets or stubs are shown.
Tickets, $37 orchestra and $28 mezzanine, can be purchased at the box office at 203-438-5795, or ordered online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
