Ridgefield Playhouse Extends BandJam Deadline

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The deadline to enter the Ridgefield Playhouse BandJam 2015 has been extended to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14 because of the severe winter weather that has hit Ridgefield and the surrounding areas.

Live tryouts for the 16 semi-finalist bands will take place at The Ridgefield Playhouse Tuesday, March 2, for middle school bands and Wednesday, March 3 for high school bands. Both are at 7 p.m.

Finalists in both categories will compete for the coveted titles at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 26 when BandJam 2015 rocks the playhouse for the sixth consecutive year.

Created by musical kids as a fundraiser for The Ridgefield Playhouse, BandJam has become a highly anticipated annual event that raises significant money for the playhouse.

This year’s BandJam is powered by Guitar Center, sponsored by Music Shed, Pepsi, i95fm, The Enchanted Garden and Hal Prince Music and Entertainment, with support from Ridgefield Music and video production by pda films.
