One of music’s most dynamic performers, Sexton is known for his wide vocal range and ability to improvise. He is also known for beatboxing and scat singing guitar solos. He’s a down-home virtuoso with a voice that can groan like an alt-rocker, slide like a soul man or leap up to a pearly falsetto.

His rhythmic, fingerstyle guitar playing can make it seem as if he's backed by a full band even when he's playing solo.

In his new "Mix Tape of the Open Road" tour, Sexton plays fan favorites “Way I Am,” “Diner,” “Love Keep Us Together” and “Beast in Me” – and may even slip in his cover of One Direction’s “Story of My Life.”

His songs are featured in film and television including NBC’s "Scrubs" and "Parenthood" and Showtime’s hit series “Brotherhood.”

In 2009, Sexton's "Solo" won Best Live Performance Album at the eighth Annual Independent Music Awards.

In 2010, his latest studio release, "Sugarcoating," finds this one-of-a-kind-troubadour doing what he does best: locating larger truths within the specific details of the life he's living. He's even played Carnegie Hall.

Make it a great night out with dinner and a show. Visit Bailey’s Backyard (23 Bailey Avenue, Ridgefield) the night of the show and receive 10 percent off the bill when tickets are presented.
